Hercules and Love Affair, the music project of NYC based Andy Butler, has made waves in the queer dance scene since their first self-titled release in 2008.
The first album, featuring the writing talent and vocal stylings of Antony Hegarty (Antony and the Johnsons) helped launch H&LA with it’s disco beats and beautiful vocal tracks. Still, the album and it’s followers, were found more in poorly lit clubs rather than major dance halls.
But this new release, The Feast of the Broken Heart, aims to be a break out success for the dance collective. The first single/video off the new album is a great start, check out “I Try to Talk to You” below:
