Richmond Triangle Players hosts the premiere of a new open-mic event, the Ghost Light After Party, for Sunday, January 22 at 8:00 P.M. The event is a Broadway showtune-themed open mic night, with particular emphasis on the cabaret culture of Manhattan’s West Village.
The After Party is hosted by Matt Shafner and Maggie Roop. It will also feature Sandy Dacus on keyboard as well as Richmond theater veterans.
After the initial debut, the event is scheduled to be held on future select Sundays. Richmond Triangle Players is at 1300 Altamont Ave. Admission for the event is $5; tickets are available for purchase at the http://rtriangle.org.
Tonight at 5:30 pm across the country, an estimated 700 theaters will participate in an event called The Ghostlight Project.
