I’m pretty into this track – maybe its the soft 125 BPMs in the background, or Solomon’s facial hair/shaved head combo – but I dig this jam pretty hard. Have a listen below:
Lyrically, there are some strong points here – “I was standing there, only wearing you… I wish you’d come back… to the things you knew… wouldn’t drink as much, if that’s all it took…”
Lord knows many of us have been there – too drunk and too naked. Alright, it could also be the eye-lashes, this Solomon cat has some amazing eye-lashes.
I look forward to some solid club mixes, maybe some big names will pick it up – this song sounds destined for a series of exchanged glances at around 1:45 AM at Nu Nightclub.
A bit more about this song via press release from SolRay Records:
Directed by Mikhail Torich, the video plays in reverse beginning with a scene where Solomon perfectly put together in a suit and tie, wakes up in a immaculately organized home. As the video progresses, you see Solomon resort to bad behavior and an unkept appearance and house. “The song is about losing a relationship over being too complicated,” explains Solomon. “So the video shows me trying my hardest to be perfect. Cleaning up my home, organizing notes, archiving Polaroids and grooming myself.”
“I’ve always been fascinated with the mind and how we perceive things. I wanted to play with elements of perception. I also wanted to delve into post traumatic behavior and showcase how some people cope. In the video theres a bit of crazy. I wanted the character to be loveable but unstable, even in the midst of his new found perfection,” shares Solomon.
