While eschewing labels, TKD’s vocalist Megan Lynn Browning said she does identify as part of the LGBTQ community, but that’s not the reason the band plays at Babe’s. “I’ve loved Babe’s ever since I came to Richmond 5 years ago… The usual Babe’s crowd has a great reputation for being open to new music and ready to party,” said Browning. “Of course we wanted to play somewhere like that! All the great local female musicians played there a time or two and I definitely wanted to add my band to that list.”
And great talent is sure to be found, check out their performance from the Carytown Craft Beer Festival:
It’s only been a few months since TKD have graced the Babe’s stage, but Browning said her and her band mates have some surprises in store for the show. 2 new original songs, as well as two new “down-ass” covers are part of the bill, but “We also have a new drum kit that we’re geekin about.”
Lord knows precession is key to any good show, so get pumped to check out these folks this Friday at Babe’s.
