Busch Gardens Gay Days Set for Oct. 17-18th During Howl-O-Scream!
Details about Busch Garden’s Gay Days have started to trickle through and the weekend of Oct. 17th will be the big event!
Personally, I’m pumped to celebrate during the theme-park’s Halloween themed events, Howl-O-Scream!
Ticket info is a still a bit further down the line, but here’s some more details about the event from the official website.
We are back at it again for our THIRD annual Busch Gardens Gay Days! This year we have moved back to the spooky halloscream season as an hommage to our first year’s event but also so we dont interfere with your summer pride schedules! Get excited because once again we will be taking over AMF lanes for an all night kick-off party before a day of fun at the park! Saturday morning , chase your hangover with a bit of Hair of the dog because we are going to ride rides, get scared, and have an awesome picnic in the park with some tracks by DJ Alex Stream and some entertainment by our favorite girls! Lastly, once again a portion of the proceeds will be benefiting an LGBT charity(TBD) so have fun and give back to our community!
Busch Gardens Gay Days originally started as a labor of love by the in October 2012. After seeing events like this attempted in the past, we saw the need to form something more solid and more planned out. We set out to create an annual organized event that would be similar to other large LGBT events. While planning for this event. Busch Gardens Gay Days would benefit LGBT charities and serve as a LGBT community supported and funded event to raise awareness to LGBT issues.
With success of last year’s Busch Gardens Gay Days, which had over 700 in attendance and 300 attendees for the catered picnic, We decided to grow this year’s event into a full-fledged weekend of events with pool parties, a day at water country and the signature main event still held at Busch Gardens. These additional events will be hosted throughout the weekend at the beautiful Williamsburg Hotel and Convention center.
Check in to Hotel
Settle into the Hilton, grab a drink at Pitcher’s, the hotel bar, and take a tour of all the great vendors while meeting new friends.
Due to the popularity of this event last year we are switching it around and making the AMF Lanes Bowling Party this year’s Kickoff! Come kickoff gaydays by bowling all night, while listening to hot beats from DJ Alexander Stream.
Breakfast Available – Harvest Grille
If you are staying with us at DoubleTree, breakfast is available at Harvest Grille. So grab a quick bite before head to the park!
Busch Gardens Williamsburg
