Gallery5 is seeking photographers willing to venture into their communities and create portraits of individuals from all walks of life including diverse sexual orientations, ethnicities, religious affiliations, economic status’, age groups and people that break free from typical stereotypes. This all-inclusive concept installation is created to challenge our viewers about the misconceptions of our sexual minorities and help them gain a perspective on our human similarities.

Each portrait will be accompanied with the participant’s definition of “Love” or “Hate”, including how they personally define themselves through sexual orientation. Personal “Love” and “Hate” definitions will be written on Model Release forms that permit both the photographer and the Say Love Project to use the image, quote and orientation in this series to be exhibited at Gallery5. Our design team will add all text to submitted photographs and will have them printed by a participating organization. To keep this print series consistent, some images may need to be cropped down to fit chosen print dimensions. The deadline for photography and contracts for this concept series’ submissions for display in our main gallery are Friday, December 11th.

Artists will be selected and notified on Saturday, December 12th. Please mail all visual art submissions to: visual@gallery5arts.org or mail submissions to:  “Say Love” Gallery5   200 West Marshall St.   Richmond, Virginia 23220
