Infuzion at 1401 Roseneath Road in Scott's Addition.
After a reader tipped us off, we drove by to check out an ABC notice posted on the building.
The new owners are trading as “Infuzion, LLC” – Julie Wheeler and Roger Wilson are listed as the main contacts on the permit to serve beer, wine, and mixed cocktails dated 6/29/09. Any RVA foodies know these names?
Infuzion closed last August after a short time on Richmond’s nightlife scene. The unique venue drew a mixed crowd to an ice bar and dance floor that were separately partitioned from a lounge, dining area, and bar.

Julie Wheeler is CFO and Co-Owner of Riverstone General Contractors, the company that occupies the 2nd floor of the building. She and her husband also happen to have an ownership stake in the building. Not surprising that they’re getting into the nightclub biz after several failed attempts to sell!
Oh lord. Infuzion, take two!
I heard they’ve already opened. That’s not a good sign unless it was a “soft opening”. Unless that club (which is quite lovely, by the way) has a REAL marketing plan, they will fail….FAST. In that secluded neighborhood/business/warehouse district, they have NO CHANCE of succeeding unless they’re exclusively gay, which I heard they are reluctant to commit to. Straight folks aren’t coming across town from the Slip/Bottom to an industrial park and gays aren’t going to flock to a place that only wants them on certain nights.
With that said, here’s some ways the place can make it work…
1) 18 and up.
2) Reasonable drink prices including happy hour specials.
3) No goddamned ice lounge.
4) Get rid of that VIP area and let all paying customers sit and relax.
5) Find yourself a KILLER DJ and play what’s HOT in the DC/NY/Miami clubs
6) Hire HOT, shirtless male bartenders and have them wear cargo shorts (Think Aqua Grill in Rehoboth)
7) Most important, EMBRACE the GAY!!!!

“Top 40s Dance Mix and Videos” sounds like it could be more gay friendly than expected. I had heard it would be more urban themed.
I have been in the new reopned club, matter of fact I have just DJed a private party there last Friday. The club is great the owners are awesome. Trying to make this a one type of stero typed club is not going to happen. I can tell you it will not be all straight, urben or gay. So the way I look at is, go and see for yourself. I have been in the business myself for over 17 years and feel good about the new deal.
