The Richmond Men's Chorus takes you back to the 70s with their summer concert at the Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center on June 6 & 7.
From Tim Gillham, Artistic Director of the Richmond Men’s Chorus:
The Richmond Men’s Chorus (Richmond, VA) and its parent organization, Monument City Music Productions are honoring Virginia’s Year of The Woman in 2010 by establishing the Richmond Women’s Chorus. The chorus will feature works by women composers and the chorus will combine with the men’s chorus in March 2010 to perform “Sing for the Cure” in multiple locations in Virginia. Both choruses are under the artistic direction of Timothy Gillham.
The next event for the Men’s Chorus is “We Are Family” celebrating the music of the ’70s. Be sure to subscribe to our e-newsletter for regular alerts and messages.
As you probably know, the Richmond Men’s Chorus and the Hampton Roads Men’s Chorus combined to open last week’s Equality Virginia Dinner. The choruses are planning on collaborative concerts in the near future. (HRMC’s website is www.steppingout.org and their director is Chip Broadbent).
