Julie McCoy (yes, that Love Boat cruise directing goddess) hosts the Family and Friends Fourth Friday social each month at a different gathering spot around town.   It’s an opportunity for the GLBT community to get together – and these events are packed, so make sure you RSVP for proper staffing.

Located on Cary Street in Shockoe Bottom, Lucky Buddha offers a Sushi Lounge & Bistro featuring signature noodle bowls, fresh seafood, and great stir-frys. They also have a separate bar that they are prepared to open for us as an overflow, as I did warn them that we tend to run a bar over!

They are offer $2 rail and draft beer as a happy-hour special until 9:00PM, so even in today’s economic crunch, you can get out with a reasonable tab!
